Probably is not your fist Hackathon; we just want to give you advice to make your experience as funny, enriching and comfortable as possible!
You must bring your own laptop (and its charger!). Think of your academic or professional specialization, and which software you think is interesting to bring to the Hackathon. Because you never know what might happen!
Keep in mind you are going to be sitting for a long time working, and sometimes resting. It’s highly recommended you wear comfortable clothes and not particularly delicate.
EXTERNAL BATTERIES
You’ll use your smartphone more than you think (speech timer, taking pictures and record videos, calculating, making quick notes, being in touch with your team, and so on), so if you can bring an external battery would be fantastic!
It’s more than probable that, because of the heavy workload, you won’t have enough time to rest properly, but having a cushion and an sleeping mask will give you a few minutes for disconnecting and ‘recharge’ your brain up to 100%.
You’ll spend so many hours with people, then, toothbrush, deodorant, comb, refreshing towelettes, and a bit of cologne can work miracles. After using them, you’ll feel better.
We offer a catering service to satisfy your ‘work’ hunger, but we ask you to bring with you intellectual, triumph and disruptive hunger. We are waiting for you all!
If you need to figure it out, you can see here the Valencia Business Challenge, the Hackathon we organized September last year.
